WE’RE NOT CALLED THE ‘COFFEE’ SHED FOR NOTHING…

Crazy about the dark, bittersweet beverage that's captivated the world since the 15th century? So are we! Perfect for every mood & season, we wanted coffee to play a key part in our café.

Each of our baristas is a signed-up coffee lover, and knows exactly how to get the good stuff from the beans to your mug. Feel free to ask their opinion or make a specific request so you can drink it how you like it!

If you are interested in bringing home your own bag of Coffee Shed beans, they are available to buy online or over the counter for only £6.50 per 250g bag. Want to make your own brew or give someone a special gift… stock up now!

THE OXFORD COFFEE COMPANY

25 years of experience in the coffee business, a dedication to finding the finest beans from around world and 100% ethical sourcing are just three of the reasons we chose The Oxford Coffee Company to be our supplier.

At The Coffee Shed, we offer a blend of Arabica and Robusta quality beans - nutty and hazelnut body from the Arabica, complemented with acidity from the Robusta.

Our decaf espresso is 100% Arabica which retains all the characteristics and flavour of a traditional espresso with none of the caffeine.

LOCALLY PRODUCED MEATS

All our meat and poultry menu items - including bacon, chicken, sausages and ham - are provided by Denshams, a local family-run butchers in the heart of West Oxfordshire. We are pleased to serve you top quality local meats and produce from this traditional butchers, previous winners of the best British sausage in the South East!

By ordering one of our signature English breakfasts or scrambled eggs on toast, you’re helping to support a local business, reducing the environmental impact of food production. Eat well, do good, feel great!

FREE RANGE EGGS

Our free range eggs come from Mayfield Farm, based right here in Witney. Mayfield Farm is a member of the ‘Laid in Britain’ assurance scheme, meaning they uphold the highest standards of food safety and bird welfare. The farm is partnered with the UK’s leading poultry feed suppliers, who provide their hens with high quality, hormone-free diets and regular health reviews.

By eating at The Coffee Shed, you are directly supporting local food producers, as we serve locally sourced ingredients from Oxfordshire… so a big thank you from us and them.

ADVENTURE GOLF

Our 9-hole course is waiting for a future Rory McIlroy or Georgia Hall to reveal themselves! If you're looking for some fresh air fun, this is the place for you. 

No need to book in advance… putters and balls are available from the golf hut or The Coffee Shed.

TENNIS & MINI TENNIS

7 full-sized courts and 4 mini tennis courts are waiting for you! 

Covid-19 update: courts now open for 55 minute bookings, subject to social distancing and Government/LTA guidance. Sanitised rackets are available for free, along with balls for just £1.

PRICES

Mini tennis courts available for kids - use our suitably sized rackets and lower bouncing balls at no additional charge. £4 per court. 

Full-sized tennis courts are waiting for your serve – £6 per court for adults, concession prices available.

TENNIS COACHING

Individual tennis coaching at The Leys is available for children and adults looking to improve their game. Develop core skills with LTA-qualified Premier Tennis coaches, led by Coach Stephen Prew.

Stephen is an LTA qualified level 3 coach who has lived in Witney all his life and has been coaching for over 15 years.

FOOTBALL

“BALL GAMES ALLOWED” is one of our mottos here at The Coffee Shed! Come down for a relaxed kick about with mates, or get in touch with the local club (Witney Spartan Rangers) to play more seriously.

Leys Recreation Ground Play Area

On The Leys, there is a fantastic adventure playground, skate park and seasonal splash park for kids of all ages to enjoy.

NETBALL

Join our Thursday Morning Back 2 Netball sessions with our qualified coach and team of lovely ladies. Don't worry if you haven't played since school, it’s suitable for all abilities – sign up now! 

CRICKET

The quintessential sound of summer and leather on willow can be heard ringing round The Leys. Get in touch with Witney Swifts if you want to be involved.

PARTY PACKAGES

Interested in having a party here at The Coffee Shed? We host birthday parties, christenings, baby showers, work dos and many other celebrations!

• We offer adventure golf and mini tennis party packages, where you can enjoy our 9 hole Adventure Golf Course or mini tennis courts just outside the café.

• Alternatively, we offer make-your-own pizza party packages. Drinks and snacks can be included in all party packages to suit your preferences and budget.

• We also host bespoke parties, tailored to your needs!

Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to serving the community all year round, offering great value meals with ingredients sourced from local food producers in Oxfordshire. This is because we think it is important to do our bit for the environment and to support our local economy.

Activity Hub

We are passionate about bringing locals together by creating a hub of community activities, successfully hosting a range of social events, clubs and celebrations to achieve this aim.

We recognise the value of sport and recreation in helping to build stronger, healthier and safer communities. We hope that by encouraging locals to make use of the fantastic sports facilities on The Leys Recreation Ground, we can contribute towards strengthening social bonds and increasing physical activity in Witney.

VONNIE WHALLEY

Meet our General Manager, who generally manages everything at the Shed. A 25-year catering career has led her to life at The Coffee Shed, taking in schools, colleges and even a garden centre or two along the way.

Vonnie describes herself as a campaigner for customer care, and takes a stand against blank-faced barista-ing. She is the chief architect of our cheeriness and keeps sincerity in our smiles!

SAPHRON DRISKELL

Assistant Manager

With a career spanning everything from pot-washing to place-setting, Saph keeps everything and everyone ticking over at the Shed.

With a tireless work ethic, Saph loves the buzz that comes from a busy coffee house, and is an expert at getting things done while ensuring no corners are cut. We are delighted to have her expertise fuelling the beating heart of The Coffee Shed - the kitchen!
